Why We Invest

GCR invests in undercapitalized organizations that provide critical services to vulnerable children. GCR finds and supports grassroots organizations worldwide in order to transform the lives of children on the edges of society, trafficked children, refugees, child laborers and helps them regain their rights and pursue their dreams.

More than 20 million children around the world are forced to live as refugees with some of these children are in need of immediate medical attention; so many are forced to work and help their family and so many are without parents and without hope. 

According to Unicef statistic, every 10 minutes somewhere in the world a girl dies due to violence, about one-third of women between the age of 20 and 24 are forced to get married as a child to an older man. Over 2 million kids between the ages of 10 and 19 years old suffer from HIV, 16,000 die from curable disease or disease that could be prevented. Over 3 million kids under the age of 5 die from malnutrition.

Still not too far away from where we live, there are children who get abused in different ways every single day. There are many children who are neglected in various stages of their lives.

Hunger is a constant, chronic pain is gnawing away at hungry children. Starving children in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East can and should become a thing of the past. We must put an end to starvation, but we can't do it without you. The good news is that GCR has many proven ways to help stop hunger.
